I'm here today because I've been selected as a Haven Mentor for the 2017 conference and I thought I'd share a bit about myself as a DIY blogger.
How many years have you been blogging?
I've been blogging for 7 years and it has flown by in a blink! I started, as most bloggers do, wanting to share a kitchen renovation with my friends and family so everyone could see the progress and change in tidy little post packages. That kitchen renovation led to sharing all types of projects (and I cringe at those early posts now!) from sewing to painting and my all time favorite - building.
SECRET #1: I used an iphone for ALL my photos for the first 3 years of blogging!
What is your favorite DIY project that you have completed?
The Home Depot offers Workshops at all of their locations for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels. There are three types of Workshops offered – Do-It-Yourself (DIY), Do-It-Herself (DIH) and Kids.
Happy Monday and what better way to start the week than with the 2017 Do It Herself Workshops annoucement at The Home Depot! I'm over the moon excited to be part of the DIH Workshops team again along with a few of my fellow diy bloggers. We're kicking off the workshops with this beautiful vertical succulent garden project:
Did you know The Home Depot offers Workshops at all of their locations for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels. There are three types of Workshops offered – Do-It-Yourself (DIY), Do-It-Herself (DIH) and Kids.
Customers can learn how to build décor projects, how to make easy home repairs and how to operate tools through demonstrations and step-by-step instructions.
My fellow diy bloggers and myself will be making our own custom versions of this vertical succulent garden and sharing our projects next Monday, be sure to check back for lots of inspiration and ideas!

Sharing my Martha Stewart inspired Easter basket today and I decided to make a chocolate Easter basket. Real chocolate is always a good idea for any Easter basket but my version is full of faux chocolate bunnies and eggs.
