"C" is for Chocolate Party

Chocolate Birthday Party

We celebrated my mother-in-law's 65th birthday this past weekend.
Like most women, she loves chocolate, so I put together a chocolate themed birthday party.

Chocolate cake.

"H" is for Historical Plaque

Paint: diy historical plaque

This little plaque below is attached near the front door of our house.  It's significant because it pays tribute to the original owner of this home, Samuel Brown, who built the main part of our saltbox colonial somewhere around 1740.

The only problem is nobody uses the front door.  Like ever.
So my husband had the grand idea for me to replicate the plaque and hang it above the dining room mantel:

"I" is for Ipad Case

Sew: diy ipad case with cross stitch monogram

Make your own ipad case using corduroy and gingham fabric then add a beautiful cross stitch monogram.

I made two versions, one using drop cloth with a painted monogram (I'll share the details on that another day) and the corduroy version:

The cross stitch monogram detail is very easy hand stitching that adds the perfect touch of personalization:

"C" is for Craft Island

Build: diy craft island

I built this craft island for a friend.
This craft island resides in her new home in the basement (which explains the overhead lighting as there are very few small windows).
