3 Neutral Fall Mantels

Three Fall mantels done in neutral tones with natural elements.

neutral fall mantels

The center chimney in our 1740 saltbox farmhouse has three fireplaces (and I'm pretty certain there was a fourth fireplace on the second floor that has been sealed over - might just pull a Nicole Curtis and open that thing up someday!)

Until then I have three mantels to decorate - life is a double edge sword sometimes.

DIY Framed Floor Mirror

diy wood framed floor mirror

How to add a wood frame to a large mirror.

Before we moved my old neighbor had done a full home renovation and decided she didn't need this large framed wall mirror anymore, my luck since I knew I could use it in our new home.

The frame was fine but I wanted a more rustic look:

DIY Industrial Cupcake Stand

Build: industrial style cupcake stand

I used plumbing parts and a birch log slice for each cupcake stand, so simple but tons of character and perfect for Thanksgiving.

These industrial wood slice cupcake stands are just the right size for an individual serving: cupcakes, mini pies or even as candle holders.

DIY Growth Chart

diy growth chart

Make this diy growth chart using Measure-It! self adhesive measuring tape.

I made it super simple by actually using the tape in place of making measurement marks, it's a no measure DIY growth chart!

You would hang the growth chart on the wall, at least 12" or 24" from the floor:
